Obituary of Jennifer M. Palmer

Please share a memory of Jennifer to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jennifer Mary Palmer, 56, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 9, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with illness. Known to those closest to her as Jen, she was a woman of sharp intellect, and an adventurous spirit that carried her across the globe.

Jen was born on May 20, 1970, in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania. Growing up in the Palmer family, she developed an early curiosity about the world around her, a curiosity that would shape the entire arc of her life. She was a proud graduate of Millersville University, where she earned her degree in chemistry, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry. Over the years, Jennifer worked in various countries worldwide. Her career took her far from home, but no matter where her work led, she always carried the accent of Philadelphia with her.

She was an avid golfer who enjoyed her time on the course, whether she was playing a casual round with friends or challenging herself on an unfamiliar layout in some far-flung destination. As a world traveler, she was someone who collected experiences rather than souvenirs.

Her character was defined by her deep love of animals, especially her beloved dogs, River and Lake. They were her constant companions, and her joy.

Jennifer is survived by her father, Richard Palmer, (Gloria); her sister, Judith Palmer. (Ken Foran); her brother, Richard S. Palmer; her niece, Devon Palmer; and her nephew, Aidan Palmer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis M. Palmer.

A private service and burial will be held on July 28, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to the Philadelphia SPCA, an organization close to Jen's heart, in honor of her lifelong love of her dogs.

Jen lived the time she was given with purpose, curiosity, and adventure. Godspeed, Jennifer Mary.
