Obituary of Raymond R. Simmonds Jr.

Raymond R. Simmonds Jr., age 69 of Lansdale PA, died Wednesday (12/7) in the Abington Hospital after a long illness. He was the Retired Owner of Rays Pizzeria In Lansdale,Pa. the business in which his son still operates. Mr. Simmonds Jr. was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Raymond and the late Concetta Carbone Simmonds. Ray was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick H.S. and was a member of their Football team. He then entered the U.S.Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Ray was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lansdale. His hobbies included fishing, cooking on his grill and being an avid Eagles Fan. He is survived by his wife Patricia Mack Simmonds three daughters: Tina Sokolowski (Ray) of Conshohocken, PA, Krista Buchert (Jim) of Boyertown, PA, Stacie Moseley (Christopher) of Lansdale, PA one son: Raymond Simmonds III (Amy) of Lansdale, PA one sister: Michele Jacquot of Barto, PA two brothers: Vincent Simmonds of Lansdale, PA, Michael Spagnolia of Lower Frederick, PA 10 grandaughters-Emily,Jessica,Haley,Rachel,Jamie,Olivia,Kyleigh,Sadie,Kathryn and Lauren. Friends may call Tuesday 12/13/11 from 9-11am at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion.
