Obituary of Carol A. Tierney

Carol A.(Fida) Tierney, age 68 of Whitemarsh Twp., died Sunday (2/26/2012) in the Lankenau Hospital. She was retired from the electronics industry. Mrs. Tierney was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late John and the late Isabel Flanagan Fida. Carol was a devout member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Living in Whitemarsh Twp . for many years growing up she was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh H.S. For many years Carol enjoyed spending time with her family at Long Beach Island in the summer months. She enjoyed gardening,shopping trips and her holiday decorations. She was an avid animal lover and loved her beloved dog - "Casey". She also enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her loving grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Susan Duff (Stephen) of Plymouth Meeting, PA., Kathleen Junod (Patrick) of Lafayette Hill, PA one son: Robert Tierney (Loretta) of Drexil Hill, PA five sisters: Barbara Duffy of E.Norriton, PA, Joan Barrie of Collegeville, PA, Patricia Tanski of Phila., PA, Joyce Dougherty of Cherry Hill, NJ, Judith Gallo of E.Norriton, PA three brothers: Joseph Fida of Fla., Blair Fida of Fla., James Fida of W.Norriton, PA 8 Grandchildren-Kaitlyn,Ryan,Brendan,Isabella,Colin,Kevin,Elizabeth and Robert Friends may call Wednesday 2/29 from 6-8pm at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Thursday 3/1 from 9:30-10:30am at church at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..
