James Siciliano, age 90 of Plymouth Meeting PA., died Thursday (4/26) at his residence. He was a retired Research Chemist For The Department of Agriculture ERRC in Wyndmoor for over 41 years and had published over 40 papers and patents / inventions. Mr. Siciliano was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late John and the late Flavia Mangano Siciliano. Mr. Siciliano grew up in South Phila. during the great depression and he graduated at the age of 15 from Central H.S. James went on to serve our country during WW 2 in the US Army serving in the European Theater in the Battle of the Buldge and the invasion of Normandy. He recieved the Bronze Star along with other commendations. After the war, James attended Villanova Univ. and went on to graduate from Temple Univ. He was a member of the Breachmenders Choral Group and the Saint Philip Neri Church Choir where he has been a member for many years. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling, music and his beautiful home. Jim was a true naturalist and one of his favorite pass times was reading the Phila. Inquirer while sipping his coffee and watching the birds from his kitchen window. He leaves a loving legacy of what it is to be human.... He is survived by his wife Angela( Damato ) Siciliano two daughters: Ann S. Drapikowski (John) of Plymouth Meeting, PA., Regina Siciliano of Plymouth Meeting, PA. 4 Grandchildren- Joseph (Kellee),Christopher,James and Claire Friends may call Monday 4/30/2012 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the George Washington Memorial Park, . Contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 3300 Henry Ave. Suite 500, Phila.Pa. 19129. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
