Obituary of James F Bozzelli
Francis Bozzelli, a sales and operations management professional, 87, of Blue Bell, Pa, who passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
James, “Jim,” the only child of Rudolph and Marguerite Bozzelli was born in Wilmington Delaware in 1931. Soon after, he and his family moved to Philadelphia where he spent most of his childhood. In his later childhood, the family moved to Havertown, PA., where they would settle.
For Highschool, he attended Malvern Prep and Cheshire Academy in Connecticut. In high school Jim excelled on the field and the court; He was a member of Malvern’s Football team, Track and Field and Tennis team. He went on to attend both Duke University and then St Joseph’s University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Philosophy and played on the Varsity Tennis team for St. Joseph’s.
In college and beyond, Jim continued his life-long love for all sports, especially tennis playing competitively and winning many local singles and doubles tournaments.
Jim was a patriot and loved his country. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a military policeman and cryptographer.
He was an active member of his community throughout his life and was most recently a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
Jim Bozzelli passed away after battling melanoma and several other forms of cancer for almost a decade. He fought the disease with great courage, grace and tenacity as he continued to soldier on with the daily care and love from his wife, Jeanneane. He did so without even the hint of a complaint about his health and even lesser traces of self-pity.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanneane and their daughter, Jennifer. Jim is also survived by many cousins and friends.
