Obituary of Steven G. Turner

Steven G. Turner, age 60 of Lafayette Hill PA, died suddenly Tuesday (1/1) in the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He was a former Plant Manager, employed by H.P. Cadwallader Co. Mr. Turner was born in Norristown, PA, the son of the late Edwin and the late Elizabeth Swan Turner. Steve was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School class of 1971 and was a football player for the team. He attended Kutztown Univ. following H.S. Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing along with gardening and was an avid golfer. He loved going up to Lake Wallenpaupack with his family when he was younger. More recently, he enjoyed going to the shore to Avalon with his wife and kids. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his good friend Tom in Stone Harbor. In most recent years he loved to spend time in Cancun, Mexico. When his own daughters were young he was their softball coach in Whitemarsh Twp. and was a former commissioner for the league. Steve was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan too and will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by Patricia (Maher ) Turner three daughters: Alicia M. Turner of Lafayette Hill, PA, Carrie E. Turner of Phila., PA, Bridget A. Turner of Lafayette Hill, PA one sister: Adrienne Weber of Hatfield, PA one brother: Keith Turner of Bath, PA. predeceased by his brother Alan Turner. Friends may call Thursday 1/3/2013 from 6-8pm at The Lownes Funeral Home,659 Germantown Pike Lafayette Hill, PA. and Friday 1/4/13 from 10-11am at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be private in the George Washington Memorial Park, .
