Accepting most of this is complementary, I take exception with some descriptions of Jacky’s distinctive nature:
Item:
She was super-late for dinners and appointments.
In fact she was more deliberate, thoughtful and thorough than most always paying close attention to detail suggesting unfair severe irritation and annoyance by her critics.
Item: “Ramshackle” house
Her 250 year old stone house was not In disrepair as this term would suggest. It’s an old farm house on a 7acre lot and naturally will attract the occasional rodent and she always fixed the problem without hurting the animal. I lived there with her 14 years and attest to that fact
Item: She’s absent minded.
Jacky had a mind like a Steel Trap whether going back a few days, years or decades. Her memory and mental sharpness (As with all in her family) was something to marvel. She was no more absent minded than anyone; just the opposite
Item: Wild Driver
Jacky’s driving record was very good. I see thousands of drivers that are less safe and take more chances than Jacky ever did. In our 24 year relationship I never saw her run a red light or take unsafe chances at intersections where most accidents happen and she never had a DUI. The worst damage ever to her car happened when she generously loaned it overnight to someone she trusted and it was returned beat up, damaged and abused bad enough she had to sell it for $300 and look for another car. She was the most generous person
Item: She was a PakRat
This term is inappropriate for this occasion and I see no reason to Characterize her this way
Agree or not these are the facts. I miss you Jacky. I pray that somehow you and I will be together again and “Ride Wild Horses” in the Moonlight.
