Dear Dianne, Dana, Ashley and members of the Dorn family,
Please accept the sincere condolences of all members of the Philadelphia Swimming Club. Ron was an institution at the Club who will be sorely missed. He was a club member for approximately 60 years and the club treasurer and a member of the Board of Governors for at least 40 years. Ron took his responsibilities very seriously and always wanted to do what was best for the club and its members.
Personally, I considered Ron a friend. I’ll always remember him as being a gentleman whatever the circumstances. Often, when we spoke, he would interject a funny joke and/or a story. From our many conversations over the years, it was obvious to me that Ron cared dearly for his family.
Myself and Swimming Club members will miss Ron but we know he is in a better, well deserved, place.
I’ll keep Ron and the Dorn family in my prayers.
