Obituary of Norma Jean Capaldi
Norma Jean ( Norm) Capaldi, 85, of East Norriton, Pennsylvania , passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on March 30, 2022.
Funeral service will be held at St. Matthew’s cemetery on April 5, 2022 at 11:30am. Reverend Monsignor Charles Vance of St Phillip’s officiating. Lownes Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Norma was born in Conshohocken to Francois "Frank" and Mary Capaldi
(Frederick) on January 19, 1937.
Polio took away her ability to walk at 22 months old, but it never kept her down. Norma attended St. Matthew’s High School and graduated in 1955. She worked as a secretary for Provident Indemnity for over 10 years then left to be a full time mother and homemaker. Norma was very spiritual. Brought up as a Roman Catholic, she prayed everyday and always let people know that she prayed for them. Norma was an artist and possessed a wonderful talent for drawing . She was also an excellent swimmer in her youth! Norm's love of people, animals, little kids, coffee, candy, food, smokes, and laughter will be remembered fondly by those who knew her.
Norma is survived by her sister, Joan Volpe of Horsham, Pennsylvania. Grandson Daniel McClay (Lauren) of Pennsburg , Pennsylvania, Great grandchildren Brandon, Isabella and Daniel Jr..
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Lisa Copertino (David), Michele Pasquarello (Steve), Jeanne Volpe, Joseph Capaldi (Maria), Jessica Gordon, Denise Peterson and Patty Klisch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Anita Capaldi, granddaughter Savannah, brothers Frank and Fred Capaldi.
Memorial donations may be made to MEALS ON WHEELS. The family wishes to extend their thanks to anyone who shared part of their lives with Norm. Please keep her in your prayers and remember with a smile what a wonderful, loving, funny, and generous person she was. Until we meet again Aunt Norma, peace.
