Obituary of Ben H. Putsch
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ben Harrison Putsch, age 25, on August 9th, 2022.
Ben was born on November 11th, 1996 in Philadelphia and was a son of Nicholas and Jennifer (Swiggard) Putsch.
Ben attended Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School but later forged his own path through hard work and dedication. He found purpose in working as a welder on the erection crew for O’Rourke & Sons Steel. He looked forward to the next phase of his life as a licensed real estate investor and a general contractor. He was eager to learn new things and apply his knowledge to everyday life repairing, restoring and improving his home.
Ben was a determined and highly-motivated man who sought happiness for himself and all others in his life. Watching him power through so many barriers to move forward in life was humbling and inspiring for so many around him. He devoted time and energy to local organizations including the food pantry and SHIELD for a Cause- a veteran-owned organization that uses the symbolism of Captain America to raise awareness and funds for underserved Veterans.
Ben’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family with a passion and would do anything to support them. He was quick to call his family and friends just to keep in touch and was devoted to spending time together for any and all occasions. Ben had a great sense of humor and always knew how to make others laugh and feel at ease.
Ben was preceded by his father, Nicholas; and two grandparents Janet Fletcher and Hank Putsch. He is survived by his girlfriend Jessica, mother Jennifer, brother Jake and his wife Allison, and sisters, Megan and her husband Thomas, and Sarah. He is also missed by his grandmother-Vivian, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him very much.
A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, September 30th from 10:30 to 11:40am, with a memorial service will follow, starting at 12PM at St Phillip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, 19444.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ben's name to SHIELD for a Cause at https://shieldforacause.square.site/
