Obituary of Robert J Pollart Jr.

Robert John Pollart, Jr.(Bob) of Plymouth Meeting, and most recently of Harleysville, passed away on September 13, 2022. Bob was born at Misericordia Hospital in Philadelphia on July 18, 1950 and was raised in East Lansdowne. He attended Saint Cryil’s School where he fondly spoke of his grandmother, Mrs. Fraim who was a teacher there. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and attended Widener University.
Bob was a quick learner who picked up the electrical business from his father. He went on to work in the field for many years and retired as an electrical estimator. Bob was the true definition of a hard worker. He delivered the Philadelphia Inquirer for over 20 years while having a full time career in the electrical business.
Bob was Plymouth Whitemarsh High School varsity boys basketball team's most dedicated fan. He attended games for 30 years. He had a 200 game consecutive streak! He always rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles even when they had an off year. Bob was dedicated to his family and his grandchildren meant the world to him. He taught us all what unconditional love and devotion really is. He was selfless and he was humble. He wanted the best for everyone. Bob will forever be remembered for his heart of gold, his appreciation of the small things in life, and his sweet soul.
Bob is survived by his wife MaryJane Pollart of 47 years, his only daughter Michelle, and his sons Reed and Jimmy. He is also survived by his brothers Fran(Deb) and Ed Pollart, his granddaughter Cathy and his grandchildren Mark and Emily. He is predeceased by his sons Bobby and Mark. He is also survived by his faithful furry friend, his Saint Bernard, Brandy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service on Thursday, September 22, at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, Pa 19444. Visitation:10am to 11am followed by a service at 11am. Burial will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
In lieu of flowers anyone who wishes to honor Bob may support his grandchildren by making a contribution to the Pollart Education Fund. One of Bob’s greatest wishes was to see his younger grandchildren graduate and go
to college and fulfill their dreams.
