Obituary of Mark A. La Pera
Mark Anthony LaPera, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 15th, 2022.
Mark, age 42, was the son of Christine Cotter LaPera and Angelo LaPera of Lafayette Hill, PA. Mark is survived by his mother Christine, sister Heather, nephew Hunter, brother-in-law Scott Hower, as well as his Uncle Vincent Cotter and Aunt Christine Cotter of Bradenton, Florida, John and Denise Cotter of Buffalo, New York, and many cousins.
Mark attended LaSalle College High School, and was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Class of 1997. He was an integral member of PW team that won the PIAA AAAA State Basketball Championship in 1997. Mark went on to obtain a degree in Sports Management at Neumann University, Class of 2002.
His deep love of music developed into a career as a professional disc jockey. He first spun his way onto the music scene in 2000. As an official Rane representative, and Schaffer Sound Productions disc jockey, “DJ Infamos” rocked the night scene in downtown Philadelphia with his infectious dance beats and a feel-good atmosphere.
Along with spending time with his family, Mark was the ultimate Philly sports fan, Kobe lover, foodie, dedicated sneakerhead, and exotic car enthusiast.
Services will be held at St. Philip Neri Church on November 23rd, 2022. at 9:30am with mass to follow at 11am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mark A. LaPera Memorial Scholarship Fund at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
