I am happy to say that Lenny and I got along well. I will always be thankful to him for being there for me after my husband past away
He was the person I could count on to get all my yard equipment running cause i swear yard equipment hates me and mine would never wanted to start. All I had to do was call Lenny and he would say, I’ll be right up. Sometimes he would only have to give it one try and it would start and others he would do whatever it took to get it started
For this I say thank you!
For a couple of years, so I didn’t have to pay to have my lawn cut, he came and took care of that. The second year when he broke his ankle he still attempted to cut the grass even though it was hard for him cause my backyard has some rough terrain
For this I say thank you
He was there to help with any electrical issues or needs I had in my house.
For this I say thank you
He would drop off or pick up things my sister and I would share or need from each other.
For this I say thank you
He would stop up and take care of my dogs over the years if I was not around that day
For this I say thank you
He was so comfortable with me that we joked around and he even had a nickname for me… Omaha hands
Jeannie and I are very heavy handed so he would call her Nebraska hands and I was Omaha hands
For this I say thank you
When Lenny was diagnosed with cancer he was determined to beat it. He was determined to be around for a long time and walk again.
Of course that never happened but for the 6 weeks he was home he was always upbeat. We would ask, how are you doing Len and He would always say “I’m doing good, I am doing good!”, never complaining. His appetite was back and he could eat, as Jeannie can attest to! And although he was bedridden you would not of know just how sick he actually was.
In that 6 week time frame he got to spend time with his kids and his grandkids and Jeannie took great care of him!! I am happy to have spent a little time with him myself
A few days before his passing, Lenny might not of been ready but his body was and he declined.
By Tuesday night all the signs were there, his family gathered and Lenny past away peacefully early that Wednesday morning
Lenny will be deeply missed. I am happy to have known Lenny and I thank him for being a great brother in law!

I grew up with Lenny as we called him as kids in Markle St. I’ll never forget the time he painted a baseball diamond in front of my neighbors home in middle of street so we could have a plate and out of bound markers to play wiffle ball. We all laughed soo hard, but our neighbor had a fit. Lenny was soo fun to be around back then.
Please accept my sincerest condolences. I recall Lenny with great fondness. He made our childhood a great place to live and grow. Prayers to your family!
