Obituary of Kathryn S. Eadline

Kathryn S. Eadline "Kay", 93, of New Hartford, NY and formerly of Lafayette Hill, PA died Oct 24, 2022, at Sitrin Healthcare Facility Long-term Care, New Hartford NY.

She was born May 13,1929 in Beaver Springs PA, daughter of Frank and Emma Shirey. Kathryn was educated at Beaver Springs High School and Lankenau School of Nursing.
Kathryn married David H Eadline on June 14, 1952, in Haddon Heights, NJ.

Kay worked until retirement as an RN at Lankenau Hospital in the newborn nursery. Upon retirement, she was a pre-school teacher at St Peter’s Nursery School in Lafayette Hill where her love and care for children continued.

Kay was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and active as a room mother for her children in elementary school, a member or the PTA, and a Girl Scout leader. She was the president of her nursing school class at Lankenau School of Nursing and was active in the Lankenau Alumni Association.

She is survived by her sons Steve (Shirley) of New Hartford, NY, Doug (Maddy) of Bethlehem PA, Tim (Mary Ellen) of Voorhees, NJ, and daughter Kathy Lemme (Michael) of Broomall, PA. Also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Lauren (Brad), Matt (Dana), Taylor, Amber, Julia, Michael, and two Great Grandchildren Hazel and Faye.

Kay enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and in particular baking cookies. She was well known for her yearly trove of homemade Christmas cookies and cakes that she shared with family and friends. One of her favorite activities was spending summers at Cape May Point, NJ with her family. Kay was very proud and remembered for her time spent at St Peters Nursery School as a teacher and friend to all.

Kathryn was predeceased by her husband David.

The family would like to thank Sitrin Healthcare of New Hartford NY for their care and support over the last 4 years.

The funeral will be Saturday March 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St Peter’s Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Road Lafayette Hill, PA 19444, with Rev. Jonathan Suloff officiating. Interment will be in St Peter’s Memorial Garden.
