Bill, my grief is overwhelming at your loss. No words can express the impact that this has had and will have in the days, years that follow. I am comforted by the legacy that your leaving will have. Over and over, I have heard from those your lives have touched what a joy it was in meeting you and getting to know you.
I am grateful for the many ways that your life has made an impact...
I see it in the faces of your family and their spouses. Especially in the faces of your grandchildren, 10 and soon to be 11!
All of the many ways that you connected with those people that were important to you.
The loving partnership that you had with Sherrin and the many ways that you both were blessed each and every day
I will greatly miss all of the support you have given Carlo and I in so many ways. I always knew that you would be there for us.
Rest easy my friend. Loving you always Nancy

To my dearest Uncle Bill,
There aren't words to adequately describe how thankful I am to have had you in my life and to have experienced your unconditional love and support my entire life. You truly embraced your role as my godfather, never failing to take a genuine and full interest in my life, sharing in my joys, championing my successes, and always excited to know the details of whatever news large or small I had to share. I will never forget the sheer joy on your face when we would have time to spend together when I finally moved closer to home after years away. It was evident just how special and precious you thought family time was. I am so lucky to have been your niece, and I will always cherish the countless memories I have of you. I will miss you for the rest of my days and carry you in my heart forever.
Love,
Kim

My dear beloved brother Bill, my heart is broken and my life has changed forever. God has chosen to take you home before I was ever prepared to accept your loss. I will heal in time knowing that your spirit remains with us forever. I will feel your hugs in the days gentle breezes and know that no matter what my troubles may be, your unseen presence will comfort me as you always have.
We grew up together so close, only two years apart but our lives were always intertwined no matter our different interests. Your impish smile and teasing manner became your nature that endeared you to everyone you knew. We challenged each other in our academic pursuits to always strive for high achievement. Sometimes we could over do the b/s in our essays, although I laughed so hard at one of your more embellished efforts that broke the record, that you forever win the title of chief b/s’er.
Your devotion to family was always second to none. You married your high school sweet heart , Linda Kessler, which of course we teased you endlessly after all, Nessler-Kessler, how German is that. Michael and I so enjoyed you being part of our wedding party, you are a natural in a tuxedo. We have children very close in age and we have enjoyed so many family gatherings watching our children grow to adults and start careers and families of their own. Through good and bad, despite distance apart in where we live, we have always stayed close. The deep loss of Linda so early was devastating for you and deeply pained your children; we felt your pain but could not imagine the impact.
Your pain was eased when you touched another rainbow and found a loving partner in Sherrin, who as well touched the same rainbow after a difficult loss. That chilly day at the New Year’s Mummers Parade when you met became a warm beautiful and loving relationship. Michael and I so enjoyed hearing your adventurous travels around the world. We are so thankful that you and Sherrin have shared love and laughter these past several years. Your smile became as wide as the Grand Canyon, you became once again the joyous brother I grew up with.
You have never lost your ever loving devotion to your four beautiful children, their spouses, and your incredibly talented ten grandchildren, (no. 11 on the way). You attended every birth with coat and tie carrying a new stuffed animal for the new born. You were always available for special events with the kids; it seems no matter what the grandkids were playing “Pop” was always on the sidelines cheering them on. Now you will be ever present at their events as you watch over them from God’s house above.
You are always my brother, I love you forever. Michael and I deeply grieve your loss but accept and take solace that your life has been so rich with love and giving to others. May you rest in comfort with God and our parents.
Love always
Sallie Ann
