Obituary of James W Marable
James Marable, 51, passed away on August 12, 2023. He was born James Wilson Marable on August 18, 1971 in Darby, PA to parents Charles and Lydia Marable. James was also affectionately called by his preferred name “Jay”.
James was a remarkable individual who left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He possessed an incredible pragmatic intellect, unshakeable morals , giving spirit, immense talent, and deep, endless love for his family and others. His beautifully infectious smile could light up any room; and his magnetic personality and charm drew people towards him. Those that knew and loved him could recognize his memorable voice and famous “DUDE!” anywhere.
James’ love and care for others ran deep. He was a devoted father, son, brother, life partner and friend. He also cherished his role as a cool and loving Pop-Pop.
Among his many talents and hobbies, James found great joy in cycling, electric skateboarding, guitar playing, and DJ-ing. He was a skilled photographer who had a deep passion for capturing the perfect moment. James’ talent in photography was widely recognized, and he was beloved by the photography community. He was always eager to share his gifts and knowledge with anyone interested in learning. He generously gave back to the community where he maintained a photography studio. In his free time you could find him enjoying his love of adventure and life with the kids. James had a love of the finer things, including a good cigar and fine bourbon.
James received his primary education at Our Lady of Lourdes and later attended Archbishop John Carroll High School. He further pursued his education at Drexel University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Throughout his career, James worked as a Professional Photographer for over 15 years. He also dedicated 21 years of his life to Invata Intralogistics as a Systems Engineer and was a valued employee the last 3 years at InspiriTec, Inc, a not-for-profit that blended his talents and call to serve others.
Services to honor and celebrate James’ life will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church located 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, 19444.
James will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His legacy of family, love, passion, dedication and service of others will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
James is survived by his mother and father Charles and Lydia Marable. Three brothers, Charles Marable (Tamara), Twin George Marable (Binti), and Derek Howie; as well as beloved son Chance Marable, a host of nieces and nephews, longtime loving partner Michele Ciesienski-Smith, children Robyn, Lauryn and Robert. And grandsons Musa and Esme as well as extended family and many friends.
