Obituary of Paul J Mirabile

He was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Giaimo) Mirabile and husband of 58 years to his late Wife Norma (DiFerdinando) Mirabile. He was predeceased by his son Joseph Mirabile, and survived by his son Paul J. Mirabile, Jr., daughter, Ann R. Mirabile, daughter Carolyn R. Mirabile Giles and son-in-law Richard L. Giles. He also had two grandchildren Gabriella and Christopher Giles.
Founded by his father, Mirabile Beverage was operated by Paul and his three brothers and two brothers-in-law for over 55 years. Mirabile Beverage held the Anheuser-Busch Franchise for both Montgomery and Bucks Counties. Paul loved telling stories about meeting Mr. Busch and being celebrated at one time as first in sales of Michelob Light in the Country.
His son Paul also worked for the family business for several years and was often seen out with his Father enjoying time together. He mentored his daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Rick teaching them about being successful in business and guiding their life decisions. He had a special relationship with his grandchildren Gabriella and Christopher and was proud of their success. His granddaughter Gabriella graduated from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music with a BFA in Ballet and a Minor in English. He loved watching her perform in numerous professional shows including the Nutcracker. His grandson Christopher graduated from West Chester University with a BA in Political Science and is working with The Vanguard Group.
Paul was an avid sports enthusiast and loved rooting for the local teams, including the Villanova University Basketball Team during its three National Championships. Among his noted moments in sports: being a professional inside-the-ring announcer at The Blue Horizon, attending Game 5 of the 1956 World Series where he witnessed pitcher Don Larsen throw a perfect game and attending the March 2, 1962 basketball game in Hershey, PA where he witnessed Wilt Chamberlain set the single-game scoring record by scoring 100 points.
Paul was a two-time Club Champion at Cedarbrook Country Club where he was a member for over 37 years. As an avid golfer, he and his Wife won the Mixed/Member Guest many times and he had 4 hole-in-ones. He taught all of his family members how to play golf and enjoyed playing in many tournaments.
He loved spending time at his homes in Boca Raton, Florida and Ventnor, New Jersey. His friends and family meant everything to him, and he was well respected in the community. He was a philanthropist raising money for many charitable organizations. He was an active member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church where he attended Mass daily. He held several patents, wrote several books and taught public speaking through Dale Carnegie.
He was preceded in death by siblings Anthony Mirabile, Mary Giaimo, Lena Romano, Joseph Mirabile, Jr., and Harry Mirabile, Sr.

Friends and family are invited Thursday, August 31, 2023 to a Viewing at Epiphany of Our Lord Church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery and a luncheon immediately following at Sunnybrook Country Club.
