Obituary of John J Viti

It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of John Joseph Viti on September 20, 2023. John was born in Philadelphia on September 30, 1943. Son of John and Rita (Cacciola) Viti. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronald Viti. Beloved husband of 59 years to his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Francine (Furcola) Viti. Devoted father to his daughters, Chrisanne Viti Hoover (Peter) and Donna Marie Viti Nardone (Frank). They were the sunshine of his life. John was the adored and cherished “Poppy” to Cole and Chase Hoover and Luca and Adrianna Nardone. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Many happy memories were shared together throughout the years. He particularly loved cruising with his sweetheart, watching his grandchildren enjoy his “perfectly maintained pool” and gathering for family dinners.

John was a graduate of Temple University and LaSalle University. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1972. John owned a manufacturing business for over 40 years and later continued with a consulting business as he never wished to retire. 

His family was blessed with their loving husband, father, “Poppy” and will hold him close to their heart and memories forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 AM at St. Philip Neri Parish, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
