Henry S. "Hank" Burkley, age 82 of Lafayette Hill PA., died Thursday (8/22) at his home .
He was a retired Machinist, employed by Wayne Automation
Mr. Burkley was born in Quakertown, PA, the son of the late Donald and the late Frances Burkley.
Hank enjoyed collecting guns and antique motorcycles and for many years he and his family could be found on their boat -The "Hanks Joy" in Forked River NJ . He was a boating enthusiast and owned several boats including a 1968 Chris Craft Classic.
Hank was a member of the Chris Craft Boat Club along with the Perkiomen Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife Joyce (Bauman) Burkley
one daughter: Linda McGowan of Conshohocken, PA.
two sons: John Burkley of Lafayette Hill, PA., Robert Burkley of Plymouth Meeting, PA.
two sisters: Esther Canning, Sandra Good
two brothers: Bruce Burkley, Bill Eden
4 Grandchildren-David, Daniel, Jennifer, Lisa 1 Great granddaughter- Holly Ann
Friends may call Tuesday 8/27/13 from 10-11am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 6024 Butler Pike, Blue Bell, PA.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am
Burial will be in the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham.
Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Family Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
