Theodore J. Slowik, age 84 of Lafayette Hill formerly of Roxborough died Sunday (10/13) in the Saint Joseph's Villa, Flourtown,Pa., . Mr. Slowik was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late James and the late Agnes( Mastalska) Slowik Loving husband to Joan (McIntyre) Slowik. Devoted father of Paul and Lisa and brother of Jennie Braunsburg and the late Sophie Glowacki. He is also survived by his neices and nephews. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and had worked for the John B. Kelly Inc. Construction Co. He was a proud Philadelphian and avid runner (Valley Green). Known for his wit ,Ted was grateful for friends who became family. He was a Philly sports cheerer and jeerer , basketball referee but his greatest passion was time with Joan,Paul and Lisa ,whom he adored. Ted fought a courageous two year battle with cancer , while under the superb care of the Oncology Dept. of Bryn Mawr Hospital. He died peacefully surrounded by family with the compassionate support of the community of Saint Joseph Villa. Ted's service and interment will be held privately.
