Obituary of Louis P. Sigel Jr.

Louis P. Sigel Jr., age 92 of Shannondell in Audubon Pa.formerly of Jeffersonville and Andorra died Thursday (1/9) at his residence. He was a Insurance Agency owner and President of Louis P. Sigel And Son,Inc. Mr. Sigel Jr. was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Louis P. Sr. and the late Julia Cawley Sigel Mr. Sigel was a graduate of Olney High School and the Univ. of Pa. Wharton School of Business and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a WW 2 Army Veteran serving as a pilot in the Phillipines with the rank of Captain. Mr. Sigel was also a former Insurance Teacher at Saint Joseph's Univ. and was one of the first CPCU's and In 1953 was the National Treasurer. He was past President of the Pa. Independent Insurance Agents of America. Mr. Sigel was a member of the Collegeville Rotary Club along with the Concordia Masonic Lodge.Mr. Sigel was a former member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and currently is a member of Saint Andrew's Lutheran Church in Audubon. He is survived by his wife Shirlee (DeNyse ) Sigel one daughter: Karen S. Hanson (Mark) of Plymouth Meeting, PA. two sons: Louis "Paul" Sigel III (Madeline) of Brigantine, NJ, Eric C.
