Obituary of Robert E. Darlington Sr.

Robert E. Darlington Sr., age 94 of Roxborough, Phila. , died Friday (12/26/14) at the home of his daughter Carol with whom he resided for the past 13 years in Lafayette Hill. He was a retired Tool And Die Maker For The Budd Co. and following the Budd Co. he worked in the Heating and Air Division of The Delaware Port Authority . Mr. Darlington Sr. was born in Reading, PA, the son of the late Thomas and the late Leona Breedy Darlington. Husband of the late Mary (Walsh) Darlington who passed away in 1988. . Mr.Darlington was a graduate of the former Saint John The Baptist High School, Class of 1938. He also Attended Drexil Univ. He was a proud World War II Navy Veteran and had served in the Phillipines. He was a member of VFW post # 6956 and the American Legion Post # 0003 in Roxborough. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by four daughters: Maureen McWilliams (Frank) of San Deigo, CA, Carol Donhauser (John) of Lafayette Hill, Pa, Janet Trevelise of West Chester, Pa, Mary-Jo Johnson (Bruce) of Malvern, PA one son: Robert E. Darlington Jr.(Sandra) of Phila., 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren., Friends may call Tuesday 12/30/14 from 6-8pm at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Wednesday 12/31/14 from 10-11am at the Funeral Home.
