Obituary of Evelyn W. Decker

Evelyn W.(Williams) Decker, age 95, of Flourtown, PA died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Saint Joseph's Villa of Flourtown, PA. Evelyn was born August 18, 1919 in Effingham, GA. She is the daughter of the late Sidney and the late Eva Mae (Owens) Williams. Wife of the late Richard J.Decker. who passed away in 1983 at the age of 58. She was employed by IMS as a Medical Coder. Mrs.Decker was a graduate of Beaufort High School in Georgia and Univ. of S.Carolina where she received her Education Degree. Following college she was an elementary school teacher before moving to the Rittenhouse Square section of Phila. with her late husband. While residing in Erdenhiem she was a member of the former Saint Marks Methodist Church and was also a member of the Whitemarsh Questers. For many years Mrs.Decker enjoyed traveling to the family summer home in Brigantine NJ. She is survived by two daughters: Jill Heckman of Erdenheim, PA, June Decker of Erdenheim, PA; ; ; 1 Grandaughter- Kate,. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, May 8 at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham . Calling hours will be Friday, May 8 from 10-11am at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Joseph's Villa 110 Wissahickon Ave.Flourtown Pa.19031 .
