John Novak, 76, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died on April 8, 2016 at Meadowview Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Philadelphia, PA.
Born July 20, 1939 in Budapest, Hungary he moved to the United States with his parents and sister, Julia (Novak) Biro, when he was 18 years of age.
He was the beloved husband of Stephanie Novak and they were happily married for 51 years at the time of his death. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Esther (Novak) Sheler and her husband Roger of Charlottesville, VA; Mary (Novak) Friel and her husband Christopher of Harleysville, PA; and four grandchildren, Eric, Kallie, Abigail and Paige. He is also survived by his sister Julia Biro and her husband Bob Biro.
Interment will be privately held at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Belmont Hills, PA on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at 11:00am. Arrangements provided by Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill, PA.
