Obituary of Robert L. Johnson

Robert L. Johnson, age 69, of Phila., PA died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at The VA Medical Center Hospice Unit,Phila. Rob was born March 10, 1947 in Warren, PA.. He is the son of the late Walter and the late Emma (Erickson) Johnson. He was employed by Phila.Police Dept. as a Police Officer and retired in 1997. Rob was a graduate of the Warren Area High School and LaSalle College Class of 1978. Prior to becoming a Phila.Police Officer, Rob worked in the Emergency Room at Temple Hospital where he met his wife Pat. He also served during the Vietnam War in The US Navy. Rob was an active member at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and enjoyed being a member of their Choir and Bell Choir. Rob was also very involved in the churches annual Boars Head Festival. Rob enjoyed wood working and cabinet making along with crossword puzzles and listening to Jazz and Classical Music. Rob will be sorely missed by his devoted family and many friends and church members. He is survived by his wife: Patricia (McMahon) Johnson , one daughter: Elizabeth M. "Liz" Johnson and two sons: Timothy M. "Tim" Johnson (Sara Davidson), Matthew R. Johnson; Brother of Dr.Beverly Yerg (Robert) and Paul Johnson (late (Judith).Rob was preceased byhis two brothers-Douglas and Rudy. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, June 24 at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA. 19444 Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Friday, June 24 from 10-11am at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church.
