Airy and Chestnut Hill, as well as at her summer home on Squirrel Island, Maine, and served on the grounds committee at Cathedral Village. She volunteered for Prints in Progress in Germantown, and at Stenton Mansion, while her children were growing up, and was a member of the Colonial Dames, the Society of Mayflower Descendants and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Nancy also taught nursery school, when she lived for a time in Bethesda MD.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years, Judge Edmund B. Spaeth, Jr., whom she had known since 4th grade at Germantown Friends School. Her younger sister, Barbara (Allen) also predeceased her. Nancy is survived by her 3 children: Eleanor Lee Simons (Charles Beury), Suzanne Marinell, and Edmund B.
