Obituary of James F. Fitzpatrick

JAMES "Jim" FRANCIS FITZPATRICK, 68, husband of Doreen (Viola) Fitzpatrick, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016, in Lafayette Hill, PA. James was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 18, 1948, the son of James Fitzpatrick and Elizabeth (Bedell) Fitzpatrick. He is the elder brother of Terrance and William. After his parents' passing, James was adopted by his uncle, John Fitzpatrick, who raised him along with John's stepbrother, Robert Ahlberg. James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Osman Aydemir of Lafayette Hill, PA, his daughter, Heather Fitzpatrick of Connecticut, and his son, Brandon Fitzpatrick of Brooklyn, NY. James is the loving grandfather of three beautiful granddaughters, Madisyn, Olive and Mae, who were the light of his life. In his youth, James attended New York Military Academy and Post Junior College, where he majored in business. James worked for many years in both purchasing and inside sales for Emhart Corporation until his retirement. James spent most of his life in Brookfield, CT with his wife of 45 years, where he played in the over 35 softball league and was a volunteer with his son's Boy Scout troop. He was an avid reader with a special interest in history and was exceptionally good at trivia games. James enjoyed the seashore and his loved ones will forever cherish their many family vacations to the beach. Those who knew James will always remember and be thankful for his sense of humor, and his love and devotion to his family. A memorial service will be held 3:30 pm on Saturday, October 15 at Lownes Family Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. with Monsignor Charles Vance officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday, October 15 from 3-3:30pm at Lownes Family Funeral Home. .
