Eileen Marie Taylor (Carberry), 90, of Plymouth Meeting and Normandy Farms, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on February 11.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, February 15, at 11:00 a.m., preceded by a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Burial will follow at George Washington Cemetery, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Eileen was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia to John and Ellen Carberry on May 6, 1926. She attended Little Flower High School in Philadelphia and then worked as an advertising artist for Strawbridge and Clothier of Philadelphia for 7 years. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors: hiking, gardening, camping and swimming. She also loved her experience with the Girl Scouts and was a leader for 17 years.
Eileen was known by family and friends as a strong, grounded woman who inspired independence and adventure. She loved a great game of bridge with her friends, was captivated by the travel adventures of her children and grandchildren, loved to debate a good historical novel and could handle a discussion about sports with almost any fan.
Eileen is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, John P. Taylor. She is also predeceased by her fourth daughter, Eileen (Carmen) Frangiosa. She is survived by her sister Kathleen (Vincent) Santanasto of Chestnut Hill, PA, and her children: MaryEllen (Joseph) Stephan of Lexington, KY, Kathryn Mitchell of Lafayette Hill, PA, Claire (David) Feeser of Downingtown, PA, Theresa Capinski of Boulder, CO, Veronica (Donald) Nash of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and John (Katherine) Taylor, Jr. of Schwenksville, PA. She was proud of her seventeen grandchildren (Shawn Mitchell, Amy Cranfill, Tim Stephan, Carmen Frangiosa, Tony Frangiosa, Ryan Capinski, Dan Frangiosa, Claire Singleton, Matthew Feeser, Shane Frangiosa, Stephen Capinski, Jason Feeser, Christine Capinski, Eileen Stauffer, Brandon Zambella, Luke Taylor, and Nate Taylor) and her 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass Wednesday Feb.15, 2017 at 11am from Saint Philip Neri Church-437 Ridge Pike,Lafayette Hill. Viewing- 9:30-11am at the church.
