From Pat’s brother-in-law Tony:
Pat’s brother-in-law, Tony, saw Pat in a dream. She greeted him by saying “hi Tony” and then she hugged him. Tony told Pat you have to see your sister Carol. Pat said to him, “I saw Carol”. The next morning when Tony woke up, he told Carol about his dream and said Pat said she seen you in your dream. He asked Carol if she seen Pat in a dream too and she said, yes.
From Pat’s sister Carol:
My sister Pat was an excellent sister and good friend of mine too. She loved her family dearly and always was around helping me with my parties and special occasions especially when my kids were small. She would walk in with a salad or even helped prepare the food. Pat would clean up too. She was so loyal that it’s still amazes me. In our younger years, Pat and I shared an apartment together and travelled together too. She was always there right by my side. Thank you so much, Pat. Love you!

May we see you again. May we hug you again. May we laugh with you again… In the meantime, the laughter you left still resonates. Your face in our minds is still joy, and our pain will never fade…

In loving Memory of a Beautiful Sister
Pat, since you passed away, life just hasn’t been the same. I would move Heaven and Earth to have you here with me again. The times we spent together mean the world to me. I will never forget our 4-hour phone conversations and your words of support. You were so kind and thoughtful. I am so grateful for the years we had.
You were a wonderful Big Sister. I will love and miss you always.
Your Little Sister, Jo Ann

After I met Pat at Billboard, we became fast friends. Along with our friend Trish, we were kindred spirits, and we shared the same ideas about everything. Pat had a wonderful sense of humor, and no one could tell a story or make me laugh the way she could. She was a good listener who had a great way of putting things into perspective just when we needed it. It’s hard to believe that I only worked with her for 5 years at Billboard because we packed so much fun and laughter into that time. I am very thankful that our friendship continued for all these years after that time in our lives. I am heart-broken that my beautiful friend was taken from us so soon, but I am relieved that her suffering has ended and that she is at peace. I will always be grateful that I was blessed to have Pat in my life for as long as I did. My fond memories of her infectious laughter and beautiful smile will stay with me forever.

Sister Lost:
A Eulogy in Verse
(Read at Funeral on Dec. 17, 2022)
Dearest Pat,
Daughter of John and Shirley,
little sister to Stephanie,
big sister to Carol, Jo Ann and Johnie, Aunt of Erika, Willie, Jamil, Jessica, Safiyyah, Ali and Aliyyah.
You danced at our weddings, laughed at our tables, helped raise our children, comforted us in rough times, hosted our parties, gave us advice, drove us home, picked us up, fixed our hair, you guarded us, you rooted for us. Thank you Sister.
Thank you Pat for your love,
for dancing with us in front of the living room wall mirrors
in our Bronx apartment,
for laughing with us
at the top of our lungs
for being a part of the loud Neal family
whose noise volume
is not for the faint of heart.
You were loyal,
loving,
funny,
a good friend,
a dedicated sister,
our joy,
one of the five Neal daughters,
one of our five hearts beating.
How will we live without you?
How will we take our sister photos with one of our beating hearts missing?
We will miss your voice —
that will be the deepest longing.
We will miss you standing with us
on monumental occasions
of rejoicing and of sorrow.
We will miss your smile,
your good taste,
your smart remarks,
your spirit,
your life…
I will look for you
on the streets we used to
walk together.
I will look for your face
in the throngs of people
moving through this life
in slow motion.
I will look for you
in the ocean waves
and in the stars scattered
throughout our space,
throughout our time.
I will look for you
on sunny days
when I am joyful
for a moment until I think of you.
I hope I find your heart again.
I will seek its rhythm
through the paths
of this life
because then I will find…
You.

Very sorry to hear about Pat. She was a wonderful, smart and funny person. She could make anyone laugh at life. I have so many memories of the times I spent with her at St. Augustine's in the Bronx and at Holiday Hills when we were younger. A very beautiful person. I will remember her and her family in my prayers.

(Poem written by Pat’s sister Carol)
Why I Love My Sister Pat?
Pat was a blessing who filled my heart with much love.
She was like an angel from above.
She filled my life with laughter and very good times.
She was very loyal and dependable at all times.
Pat always helped everyone with a smile.
My memories of her last for miles and miles.
Pat was a person to whom you can express your feelings.
And, never let you get bored at any family dealings.
Pat was a sister, who didn’t have a grudge.
She was as sweet as chocolate and smooth as fudge.
Having Pat as a sister was not just a trend.
It was knowing you can turn to her as your best friend.
Pat loved her parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, pets, and so much more.
Pat was so very strong while enduring chemo, radiation, medicines, and constant doctors and more.
I will always be Pat’s biggest fan and cheerleader.
She brightened my life and I'm forever grateful.
No matter how old I get or where I am at, I'll always love my sister Pat.

My dear Pat. I am at a lost for words and at the same time my mind is flooded with memories of you. I love you so much. You and your sisters were my extended family. You were my maid of honor, you were there for me when my first daughter was born and you are her Godmother. I so don't want this to be true, but God has welcomed an angel. I will miss you more than you will ever know. I love you Pat!

I don’t know where to begin…there are so many. I met Pat while working at M&M agency. She was made to be my “buddy” with being the newbie and just like that..it was forever she’d be my buddy. Pat and I shared a love for food, especially Chic Fila. One night we were treated by a vendor at The Palm and Pat said, “she’s eating for 2 can we get the 5lb lobster to share! And we did just that. It was literally the size of my forearm! Lol. We went to sporting events, Eagles (including training camp where I won sideline tickets after we all gave blood) only to almost pass out in July heat. 76ers games. She was the 3rd to know I was prego with my 2nd child…most importantly she was the Maid of Honor in Frankie and I’s wedding and she didn’t blink when I asked her. She wasn’t given much time as a friend of mine had given birth with a couple weeks to spare and I knew right away who I wanted. She jokingly said, “you guys have geriatrics as your bridal party since she and my FIL were over 50.” LOL! So many laughs (Pat and Gwenism’s at work - we had our own language and code) we were like Frick and Frack connected at the hip. My family and I moved 3 hours away and so the connection wasn’t as frequent, but she was always on my mind and will also be one of my besties. She will forever be in my heart and missed but NOT forgotten. Love you girl ❤️
