I just learned of Denise’s passing…I have no words to express my sorrow for all of you. We worked together at Doylestown Health many years ago. I will always remember her as someone so inspiring! She was kind, loving, creative, driven and dedicated to her family! She will always be a part of one of the best days of my life, the day our son was born. She was one of our nurses. Her compassion and care is what I will always remember about her. I am so sorry…

Where to begin… I met Denise when Brooklyn was 2. Brooklyn was the smartest and funniest toddler, she knew the words to so many current pop song including some with unsavory lyrics! We laughed, knowing she had no idea what the words meant as she belted them out in the back seat. Denise and I bonded during nursing school. We were over 10 years apart in age, but she was an old soul, mature beyond her years, and we connected. She went on to get her bachelors degree, and then her masters. She made it look easy, working night shift and going to school during the day. She would show up for class, coming off night shift, take a test and get an A and then sleep a few hours and go back to work the next night. I was always in awe of her work ethic and energy. She did this while always surprising us with a new addition to her family, her greatest love being the kids. She loved with her whole heart, sometimes throwing all caution to the wind. I think of Denise when I hear the song She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful by Sammy Kershaw. I don’t think she ever truly believed me when I told her she was exceptional in beauty and brains and personality. She didn’t always demand the treatment that she deserved from others. She had so much to give. She saw the best in everyone, perhaps to a fault. But that was her beautiful heart. She remained optimistic, funny and witty through all of the trials and tribulations of her life. She was always willing to start anew and try new things. She was a survivor. We shared decades of friendship, supporting one another. One time she said to me, “when things get overwhelming … just take the next small step.” I’ve repeated that advice to myself so many times. Denise was wise beyond her years. I will especially miss the laughs … her sense of humor was golden. The weight of this loss to all who loved her is beyond measure. I hope her family will awaken each day, feel gratitude for their time with her and take the next small step toward healing. That is what Denise would want, until you meet again. Love and best wishes to you all.

Denise and I met in middle school. I will always remember her beautiful smile, wit, and intellect. Some of my fondest memories of Denise were at her parents’ house when we slept in her garage and hung out with her beloved ferret. My prayers and love go out to her family. May they have peace remembering the special soul that she was. She will be missed.

Denise was like a sister to me growing up. She will always be the smart, silly, and adventurous girl who lived down the street. We shared so many great memories; jumping on the trampoline, burping the alphabet, riding our bikes to school, throwing snowballs at cars- the list goes on. She will be missed. I send my love to her family.

I worked with Denise in labor and delivery . She had such a warm heart and you could so easily sit and talk about life with her . We bonded on having the same middle name and being Virgos. She was genuine , beautiful and so smart . She did so many things so well and made them look easy , from being an awesome labor and delivery /nursery nurse , to being a creative mom with her kids. She was a beautiful soul that lived so much life in her short amount of years . Her beautiful smile will be missed by so many . God bless her family during this difficult time of loss. Rest in Peace Denise.

I met Denise about 15 years ago when I first became a nurse in Labor and Delivery. Though we were the same age I always remember looking at Denise as she was so much wiser and more mature than me. I remember looking at her with her beautiful children and being inspired by how much she had already accomplished in her life. She was always so motivated, so driven by her love for her kids and her passion to push herself for them. I truly feel blessed to have had the pleasure and joy to have been able to have known Denise and so heartbroken to hear of her loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to her whole family.

I had the privilege of meeting Denise in May of 2021, just a month after her and my dear friend Phil were married. I wish I had taken more photos with her, the simple act of kindness shown in the photo of her and Phil insisting on taking my luggage was a sign that Denise truly was a loving and gracious person.
She wanted to make me feel comfortable and welcomed, and it worked. Phil would always tell me how lucky he is to have her in his life and after meeting her, I immediately understood.
Denise's life and memory will live in all of us that met her and I hope Phil and his family can find solace knowing she is at peace and no longer in pain.
I love you, Phil, nobody deserves this kind of pain. Give it time and keep your heart and feelings open and hopefully life will become more manageable and meaningful over time.

I was blessed to have met Denise at my daughter, Luna’s first birthday party. Denise and Phillip brought their beautiful baby boy, Phillip III, or P3 as we like to call him. Luna and P3 connected almost immediately, and there is something beautiful in watching young children engage with one another and discover the world together!
Denise will forever remain in my heart as the mother of my second cousin, and the wife of my cousin, Phillip. I can only hope that Luna and P3 enjoy many more days growing together and exploring all that life has to offer!
With Love,

Denise and I met in 9th grade Biology and became instant friends. She was the wittiest, most charismatic and intelligent person I had ever met. We had so many high school and teenage adventures together, both good and bad (she is the reason to this day that I hate pickles and she was always so proud of that). I then got to watch her become an amazing mother to her daughter Brooklyn at the age of 16, and to cheer for her when she graduated nursing school just a few years later. Jordana came along and her little family filled with even more love. Her daughter Blake and I share the same birthday, and I remember her being so excited to call and tell me when she was born. Max made his appearance only 9 days before my wedding, yet she was there. I helped her move into the first home she purchased on her own, and she was at my daughter’s first birthday. We didn’t talk much in the last few years and I’m sorry I never got to meet her newest baby Philip (who looks just like her). I will regret that forever, but she left such an imprint on my life that I will cherish always. To her beautiful children, sisters, parents, and the rest of her family; my thoughts are with you, may your memories help carry you through.

Hoping all that had the privilege of loving and knowing Denise holds onto the beautiful memories forever. Her beauty and smile lit up a room. Her drive and determination accomplished so many things at a young age. The grit of pushing herself mentally and physically in those crazy events and hikes to prove she could do it. Then she could use her mothers talent and craft beautiful keepsakes. I know she loved her family and children fiercely as well and always wanted to be her best self. You have an angel in heaven now looking over you and reminding you to be your best self and light to others.

Brooklyn, Jordana, Blake, Max & Phillip- your mother was nothing short of amazing and truly one of a kind. She was brilliant and beautiful, accomplished, creative, fierce and strong, yet so kind and funny. I met her working at Doylestown Hospital on Maternity- that unit was its own little family. I admired Denise for all that she was and treasured our friendship. One of my favorite things that she made for me was a recipe book for my bridal shower- she collected recipes from all my coworkers and by hand, printed them, cut them all out with fancy scissors, and adorned it with borders and so many other little details… it was so thick with all the layers that the binding could barely hold all the love inside… I use it all the time to this day and think of her and the DH family often. Your mother was undeniably a wonderful soul and it’s difficult to imagine a world without her in it. I am so heartbroken and sad at this unimaginable loss for all of you, as well as her mom, dad, sisters, and husband. I do know however that as your mother, she is always with you, you will always be connected, and she most certainly will be watching over you from above and guiding you through this life. Sending so much love and so many prayers to all of you, and her family and friends, to help hold you and comfort you as we grieve this tremendous loss.

I worked with Denise in LDRP from the time she was our OB Tech you could tell she had drive and determination and nothing was going to stop her from achieving it. What an inspiration to anyone who was lucky to know her. A funny story that I remember was when she was pregnant with Max and she said to me this one has boy parts what do I do? I said when you change his diaper do it fast. She laughed. For her husband, mother, sisters and beautiful children may you hold her memories close to your heart and know you now have an amazing angel watching over everyone. Rest In Peace beautiful Denise.

Two years into our careers she was the one who convinced me to leave my job and come work in labor and delivery. If she had not convinced me to apply I would not be where I am today 20 years later still working in L &D. She was always a smiling face at work. Denise was always working so hard to be the best mom she could be and I am so happy I got to know her.

There is a very special place in my heart for Denise. When I first met her, she was an eighth-grade student in my English class. Denise and I connected immediately! I could see the passion for learning in her eyes; her beautiful poetry touched me as well. I truly believe we had a soul connection. We lost touch for a little while, but it was such an honor to have her at my retirement dinner. We met for lunch in Doylestown with Robin Black, another teacher who loved her dearly. It was like we were transported back in time. We could have talked all day. I moved across the country but carried Denise in my heart. Janice, I don’t know the rest of your family personally, but please give my condolences to all. I am always here to share stories of this young eighth grader who touched my life and continued to amaze me with her brilliance, her creativity, her determination and her love.
