Obituary of Denise M Wyse

Denise Michelle Wyse (nee Costea), 40, of Philadelphia, PA passed away in the early morning hours of July 17th in the arms of her loving husband Philip. Denise was born on September 1st, 1982 to George and Kathryn Costea, then of Holland, PA.Denise was the beloved wife of Philip G. Wyse Jr. and devoted mother of five beautiful children, Brooklyn Law, Jordana Law, Blake Brunner, Max Brunner and Philip Wyse III.

Denise graduated from Pennridge High School and Bucks County College on the same day in 2000. Denise went on to pursue nursing at BCC while also working as an OB Tech in the maternity department at Doylestown Hospital.  Denise set her sights high and received her Master’s from St. Joseph’s and after obtaining her CRNA, was a senior member of the staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center. 

Upon leaving Fox Chase, Denise had the chance to pursue some of her favorite things. Denise possessed many talents aswitnessed by her painting, drawing, knitting and crocheting projects. Denise was never afraid to push her physical boundaries. Denise was a world class obstacle course racer competing on multiple continents as well as hiking the Appalachian Trail solo.

Denise is also survived by her mother Kathryn (Leicht) Costea, her father George Costea, her loving sisters Tricia Goldstein, Stacy Killough (Michael) and, Janice Arnold (Tom) as well as many extended family members.

Denise will forever be remembered for her incredible kindness, her witty humor, her impressive intellect and the abundance of love that she shared with all who were privileged to be close to her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation Friday, July 21st 2023 from 10:00-11:30AM, followed by her memorial service at 11:30AM at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444.
